I’m a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy in 2000.   I have a BA in Language from Millersville University and taught German on the high school level.

Therapies

 

Swedish Message - The most common form of massage, Swedish mainly relaxes the muscles and eases aches and pains.  Swedish can also be used as an injury massage.  This style of massage uses oils or lotions to lubricate the skin.  It is a soothing massage that involves the whole body.


Therapeutic Massage - Can accelerate the healing process, reduce adhesions, reduce swelling, bruising and pain.  Areas of stress can be eased with a regular regimen of  treatment.  It can partially compensate for lack of exercise during inactivity while recovering from injury.  Therapeutic Massage is also used to relieve muscular spasms and fatigue related injuries.


Myofacial Therapy - A physical treatment method applied to skeletal muscles and their connective tissues. These tissues, as a anatomical and function unit are referred to as "myofascia" or "myofascial tissues."


Muscle Release Therapy - Muscle Release Technique (MRT) is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement and breath to give relief from pain often in one treatment. With MRT scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain starts immediately.
